Gaining quite a reputation is a fruit called Acai. It is pronounced (ah-sigh-ee) and grows wild in the Brazilian Amazon in the form of palm berries. After the company Sambazon first exported the fruit from Brazil, Acai can now be found in the finest health food stores and juice bars worldwide.

Acai is thought of as nature’s perfect energy fruit. It is packed full of amino acids, antioxidants and essential omega fatty acids. The good fats! Also contains lots of iron, fiber, and many other vitamins and minerals. It looks like a purple marble or grape and tastes like a blend of berries and chocolate.
