Bobby DaWayne Jones

LONGVIEW — Beloved spouse, father, and grandfather, Bobby DaWayne Jones, 74, handed away on September 5, 2021. Bobby was born on August 26, 1947 to Dan and Inez Jones. He was a lifelong resident of Longview, exactly where he graduated from Longview High Faculty in 1965. Soon after high university, Bobby served his state proudly as a member of the Air Drive in the Vietnam War, exactly where he labored as an plane mechanic.

Bobby met the love of his daily life, Kathy McCormick, even though doing work at LeTourneau and they were being married on December 10, 1971. With each other they lifted and loved a few young children, Kelley, Kevin, and Emily. Bobby was devoted to his family members, and the best joy in his daily life was when all of his youngsters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would be at his household swimming in his pool.

Marian D. Larson

Marian D. Larson, 88, Schofield, died Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Marshfield Medical Center. 

She was born December 22, 1932, in Athens to the late Anton and Helen (Feltzkowski) Brodjeski.  On February 28, 1959, she married Perry Larson.  He preceded Marian in death on September 29, 2011.  

Over the years, Marian had been employed with various insurance companies including Employer’s Mutual, MetLife and Stettin Mutual, but her favorite role was always as homemaker and stay-at-home mom.  Marian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and she treasured spending time with her family. She would want you to remember “I love you all!”

Marian was a faithful and devoted member of St. Therese Catholic Church for over 60 years and was a member of the Little Flower Council.  She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Montgomery Plant Dudley Post #10  and enjoyed trips to the

Ronda Blakemore

Ronda Blakemore, age 66, a resident of Farmington, Arkansas, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born November 28, 1954, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the daughter of Ronald L. and Sharlene V. (Holland) Sachs.

Ronda received her masters degree specializing in reading, and worked as a special education teacher. She was a proud longtime member of the “Charter Chicks.”

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, Ronald Sachs; one sister, Cheryl Anderson; her husband, Raymond Paul Blakemore Jr.; one son, John Robert Blakemore; one daughter, Raychelle Nicole Blakemore; and one niece, Kecia Williams;

There are those who enjoy the alley-oops in basketball or double plays and home runs in baseball – but for Dwight Jones it was NASCAR that peaked his interest the most when it came to sports.

From the Daytona 500 to the local Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, family and friends say Jones would often call them to let them know it was “race day”.

Jones’ wife, Freda Jones, says he would be glued to the television watching NASCAR drivers speed around the track, including his favorite driver: #24 Jeff Gordon, who is a four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and five-time Brickyard 400 winner.
