George Albert Jones, 96, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Aug. 30, 2021, at his new dwelling at Traditions at North Willow, Indianapolis. He was surrounded by his family members.

George was born March 18, 1925, at household in Muncie, Ind., to his mothers and fathers, William T. Jones and Helen Louise Jones (nee’ Nelson). He was the eldest of three brothers. He attended Royerton Substantial University. When his nation identified as all through Environment War II, George still left school in Might 1943 and joined the U.S. Navy. He was in-depth to the Naval Armed Guard in which he served as a Gunners Mate on the ship Laredo Victory and other merchant ships in the South Pacific. Honorably discharged following the war, he returned to Muncie and to large college exactly where he graduated Royerton Higher School with the Course of 1947.

Satisfy the new Leadership Crawford County Class

Stacey Shelly, Wes Hillard, Mishelle Davis, Casey Fraley, Robert Burris, Travis Biggs, Phyliss Thompson, Phillip Faucete, and Kim Smith were all welcomed in the Leadership Crawford County 2021 class.

To welcome the new class of Leadership Crawford County a reception was held for all new users. 

The reception was to welcome the 2021-22 course and to introduce them to the Board of Administrators and alumni. This is the 21st year with the software. The course will begin with the opening retreat on Aug. 20-21 at Sonshine Mountain in Mountainburg, said Pat Powel, executive director of Management Crawford County.

There are 25 new persons in the 2021 class of Leadership Crawford County. Following is a list of the new members and a small about them.

Theresa Bell is a therapist at The Forging Area. She and her partner, Kenneth, reside in Van Buren. Theresa and Kenny have five little ones: Christopher, Samantha, Tori, Devin, and Liza. Jones County remembering Sheriff Danny Heath

TRENTON, N.C. (WITN) – Jones County is remembering Sheriff Danny Heath who died instantly on Monday.

This early morning a sheriff’s van is parked on the garden of the courthouse in Trenton with bouquets and a large black wreath on its entrance. A flag at the sheriff’s business office is flying at half-staff.

Jones County Resident, Ruth Willaford says she was stunned when she listened to of Heath’s passing. “I assumed it was awful for this kind of a man or woman that we have in Jones County.”

County leaders are also astonished. “Shocked truly, is the operative phrase. I can not convey my regret for the family,” stated Jones County Board of Commissioners Vice Chairman, Charlie Dunn.

The 52-yr-previous Heath had served as sheriff due to the fact very first becoming elected in 2010.

ANTIGO Police Experiences

Tuesday, June 15th

Officers responded to a report of disorderly perform at an address on Clermont Street. The caller instructed officers that they could hear various persons yelling and they had heard somebody threaten to kill somebody.  The caller told officers that there had been no weapons and no ambulance was essential. A subject sobriety examination was conducted. A male matter was arrested for operating when intoxicated and was transported to Langlade Clinic. The healthcare facility was notified of the uncooperative affected person. Their automobile was towed to the impound.

Wednesday, June 16th

Officers been given a phone from a woman on Fulton Street reporting legal hurt to their home. The caller advised officers that someday the night ahead of, a gentle on a light-weight article was taken and a different light-weight was ruined by the porch in entrance of their dwelling.
